DAY 1 MOSHI/ARUSHA TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Our driver will pick you up from the lodge and drive to Arusha national park for a full day game drive. Only in Arusha Park you can go walking in the jungle and enjoy wildlife closely.

Pick up in the morning from your overnight hotel then drive to Arusha national park. In the park, you will do a walking Tour. The walking Tour is assisted by an armed ranger and you will be able to see a variety of wildlife closer. This is a national park so expect to see many animals very close by you but you should not be afraid as the guided armed ranger will be with you all the time. Lunch is a picnic at Jikukumia waterfalls. After lunch walks back to the gate and gets into the jeep for game driving in the park visiting the 7 Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater. Later in the evening drive to Outpost lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early breakfast at 7:20 Is then pack your luggage’s ready for your Trip briefing with your guide at 7:45 Am before you leave Arusha Town at 8:00 am and drive to Tarangire park by Land Rover/Land Cruiser, crossing the Maasai Steppe on your way to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s fourth-largest and one of its most diverse. Stop at the picturesque park gate for the driver to fill up the park’s registration book e. Full day game drive in the park enjoying viewing animals in the park. Soon, the impressive Great Rift Valley Escarpment will come into view – a 2,000-foot-high wall that rises up, improbably steep and incredibly tall, out of the flat plains.

ATTRACTIONS IN TARANGIRE 

Elephants, Buffalos, and pythons are seen easily regularly cross your path, unbothered by your benign presence and going about their daily routines. You’ll meander along bush tracks and explore the Tarangire River’s twists and turns, finding elephants drinking and playing in the refreshing waters. Late this afternoon you’ll arrive at your lodge where you can settle in and relax before dinner and your first night in the bush.

TARANGIRE TO LAKE EYASI

Early breakfast at 5:40 am then depart for Lake Eyasi Village for the bushmen’s tour. You will go for cultural interaction with the Tatoga tribe (a very interesting tribe). Our Tatoga guide at the village will lead the tour. Visit the Onion plantations. Visit the bushmen of Tanzania – the Hadzabe people with the possibility of going out for a short hunting expedition with them in the evening before dinner and overnight. Only bows and arrows will be used. The Bushmen hunt baboons, and other small mammals. The Hadzabe don’t build houses. They live in caves and makeshift shelters.

FULL DAY AT LAKE EYASI

Wake up early in the morning at 5:30 am whereby and take a cup of fresh brewed Tanzanian coffee before you go out at 6:00 am for the Sunrise hunting expedition. Only bows and arrows will be used. The Bushmen hunt baboons, and other small mammals. The Hadzabe don’t build houses. They live in caves and makeshift shelters. This will be your memorable day and a great experience in your lifetime. This will be four hours of hunting expedition.

CULTURE TOUR AT LAKE EYASI AND DATOGA TRIBLE 

You will also join the Bushmen for a walking tour in the bush searching for some roots for local medicine, honey etc. Bushmen eat roots, honey and small animals like rats, snakes etc. Learn how to make arrows and bows (can even make one to take with you back home). See the special tree they use for making bows and arrows poisons. Visit the Barbeig tribe and learn their way of life.

LAKE EYASI TO NDUTU AREA

Early breakfast then drives to Ndutu area for a full day game drive. Ndutu area is an area within the Ngorongoro area with grassland plains which meet the endless plain of Serengeti. This area is among the best site as it’s not crowded and you are allowed to drive off roads while on a game drive. The migration of wildebeests spends time here from late December to April whereby some of the groups move to Seronera and some move to the western corridor(Kirawira and Mbalageti river area). This will depend much on the weather too. This place is not crowded and you are allowed to do off-road game drives close to the animals.

DAY 6 NDUTU AREA TO SERENGETI PARK

Early breakfast before you drive to the endless plain of Serengeti national park. Full days ‘discover Serengeti’ game drives. The day for the big cats – cheetahs, leopards and lions. Mostly you will go out for a SUNRISE game drive to sunset. Sunrise game drives start at 6:00 am. More game drive till lunch time (Hot lunch). After your hot lunch, you will proceed with your afternoon game drive to sunset whereby you will drive back for dinner and overnight.

FULL DAY AT SERENGETI PLAINS

This morning you’ll continue your wildlife viewing for the rest of the day, stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch at your leisure. Upon your return to the lodge this evening you can relax in your tents as you reflect on today’s activities; your exploration of the heart of the park has been both informative and adventurous and you’ll relish each moment in your unique surrounds. SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER 10Day Tanzania Safari Culture

The Ngorongoro crater is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder.  Sunrise game drives start at 06:30 am till 11:00 am. When you’ll stop for Brunch (Breakfast and lunch put together) After Brunch departs for the Ngorongoro Crater with a game drive en-route. At Olduvai Gorge, make a brief stop at the museum to view some of the incredible finds of Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey there you will enjoy the game drive in Ngorongoro crater.

NGORONGORO CRATER FLOOR 10Day Tanzania Safari Culture

Moreover, you will rise early morning breakfast before you spend a full day exploring the crater floor. The area is world-renowned in its reputation and very small in its scale, so you will see other safari-goers. Don’t let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge

DAY 1O TARANGIRE TO LAKE EYASI 

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Erkapusmaasai village for a short visit, then you will have a walking tour visiting Olmoti crater before you drive to the rim of Embakai Crater and hike down to the Crater floor. Likewise, the Embakai Crater is one of the most beautiful places in the Crater Highlands. Much of the crater floor is covered by a jewel-like lake. Walk along the lakeshore teeming with thousands of pink flamingos. The eerie lake, the occasional hyenas chasing flamingos, the wild sounds…will make your spirit join with the body. In the afternoon you will ascend to the rim and drive back to Arusha/Moshi for dinner and overnight end of our 10Day Tanzania Safari Culture
