Day 1: Arrival Arusha

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred by private vehicle to Arusha for your dinner and overnight stay. If time allows, you will have time to do a walking tour of a coffee plantation or the option to visit Arusha National park before your big adventure starts. Dinner and overnight at MVULI HOTEL.

Day 2: Arusha to Arusha National Park

After breakfast, you are met by our professional tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel east to the Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (30 km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for 1-day safaris or tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second-highest peak at 4566m), the notably different coloured Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago!

You will enjoy lunch at the Momela view picnic site and do an exciting morning game drive and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife that could be seen includes African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. In the late afternoon we depart back to Arusha at  MVULI HOTEL.

Day 3: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Our Tanzanian safari starts at 8:30 as we drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara with a picnic lunch en route. We enter the majestic Lake Manyara Game Park and embark on the first of the six Tanzanian safaris. This small park is sandwiched between the Rift Valley escarpment and the large coniferous Lake Manyara. It is a pretty location, with a good range of games, including giraffe, elephant, baboon and the rarely seen tree-climbing lion. Overnight: Panorama campsite

Day 4: Manyara -Lake Natron

After your breakfast at the Lodge, you will be on your way to Lake Natron which is apparently the breeding site for the lesser and greater flamingos who migrate here every year from as far as Lake Nakuru, and Baringo in Kenya. Thereafter you will be on your way again to Lake Natron, with views of more Maasai villages and wildlife; arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch at the lodge and a short rest, you will go for a walk at the Lake and depending on water levels you can take a dip or go for a boat ride. You will have the chance also to walk upstream of the Ngaresero River up to the waterfalls. . In the afternoon you can go for a sundowner at Lake Natron. Overnight at Ngaresero campsite

Day 5:  Lake Natron- Serengeti

After the registration formalities at Klein’s Gate, you will go for a game drive in the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park (on your way to the lodge) where you will get the chance to see lots of animals and birdlife alike. Among animals that can be seen here includes the zebras, buffaloes, baboons, topis, impalas, cheetahs, leopards and the recently introduced Rhinos, which were the only member of the big Five that was missing in this park. Overnight at.  Meals and overnight at Lobo Campsite

Day 6: Full day in Serengeti National Park

Safari in Tanzania is not complete without a visit to Serengeti National park. At daybreak, you are out to the Serengeti plains for a sunrise game drive that normally offers the only chance of sighting the nocturnal species retiring and also the diurnal species waking up to a new day before you go back for breakfast. After breakfast, you will leave for a full day of game drives exploring the Serengeti. Depending on the season and time of the year, this is where you will witness the magnificent natural phenomenon of the ‘Great migration’ where more than one and a half million wildebeests accompanied by hundreds of thousands of gazelles and zebras brave the crocodile-infested rivers and cross the border into the Masai Mara in Kenya in search of green pastures and water.

Later in the afternoon, you will drive back to the campsite for dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast with your packed lunch drive and game en route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It is your option whether you pass by Oldupai Gorge a historical site whereby the early man lived and can also pass by the Maasai boma if you are interested in the real African life tradition and culture after your lunch en route adds to the crater rim for your dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite

Day 8: full day, Ngorongoro Crater

this day we will start early morning at 07:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating hidden animals. After a great exploration of the crater, the driver will drive back to your lodge. For overnight and dinner at your lodge, Twiga campsite

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and then start a safari to Tarangire National Park which is the third-largest national park in Tanzania. After registration formalities, you will go for a full day of game drives in this fabulous national park highlighted by the gigantic baobab trees and abnormally large herds of elephants. At Tarangire, you will have the chance to sight the rare Oryx, and other animals like zebras, giraffes, warthogs, leopards, cheetahs etc. The Tarangire River which is the lifeblood of this national park ensures a year-round supply of water and the river beds take centre stage when animals gather to get this rare commodity resulting in magnificent wildlife actions when the predators try to grab a meal taking advantage of the moment. Later in the evening, you will drive to the Tarangire campsite for dinner and overnight

Day 10: Tour and Safari view of Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the base camp, you will start the game drive and you may be able to see these enormous creatures travel in families you surely will not miss the extraordinary care they take for their young. The elephants tend to travel in packs and in the same paths as they have taken year after year.
