5 Days Tanzania Birding Watching
5 Days Tanzania birding watching tour will take you to Arusha National park, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater for this ornithology tour in Tanzania. Here you will come across both migrant bird and resident birds like a woodpecker, grey parrot, red shark, spur-winged goose, yellow coloured lovebird, peacock, secretary bird, flamingos etc. while being accompanied by your professional Ornithologist.
DAY 1:TRANSFER TO ARUSHA
Arrival and transfer to Arusha for Dinner & Overnight at Kilimanjaro Eco-Lodge. Meal plan Full Board.
DAY 2: SAFARI TO ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
Pick from the Hotel and start driving to Arusha National Park. Here you will come across birds such as Water fowls, geese, hamerkops, red shark, spur-winged goose, woodpeckers, herons, secretary birds, grey parrot and much more. Enjoy walking in a dense tropical forest while accompanied by a game ranger. Later in the afternoon drive to Kilimanjaro Eco lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Meal plan full board.
DAY 3: SAFARI TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning at 6:30 a.m drive to Tarangire National Park which is the home of over 550 bird species while accompanied by a game ranger and a guide. Here you will come across the Kori bustard the heaviest flying bird, Stocking –thigh ed Ostrich, Yellow coloured love bird, drabber rufous tailed weaver peacock, Secretary bird etc. The day can be combined with a game drive along the Tarangire River and Silalei Swamp which tends to be ideal for both wildlife and bird species. At late noon drive to Karatu for Dinner & Overnight at Country Lodge Karatu. Meal plan full board.
DAY 4: SAFARI TO NGORONGORO CREATER TOUR
Depart at 6 am for the early morning Ngorongoro Crater tour. Here is the home for the big five. You will come across Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard. You will see as well as Zebra, wildebeest etc. Ngorongoro is home to bird species like Ostrich, Kori bustard, Egrets, Crowned crates, Black beaked Ibis, Saddle-billed stock, Flamingos, Guinea fowl, Black-headed heron and much more. Drive to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge for Dinner & Overnight. Meal plan full board.
DAY 5: SAFARI TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Here you will stop at Rift valley view where you can catch up with a view of species of birds. Proceed to Lake Manyara the breeding home for both lesser and greater Flamingos and home also for the migrant birds. These are Grey parrot, Black Headed Heron, Guinea fowl, Eagles are others which can be found at lake Manyara and its vicinity. Enjoy the full day game drive. Late in the noon drive to Arusha Overnight.
